"I stayed here two years ago, in 2024, and at that time everything was wonderful. The property was very clean, the food was great, and the overall experience was excellent. This year, in 2026, the experience was good overall, but honestly, it did not compare to how great it was two years ago. While the food is still very good in general, I was served fish full of bones, and the skin had not been properly cleaned, which was unpleasant. Some areas of the property also seemed dirty, and the rooms now look older and not as well maintained as before. It feels like the hotel is not being taken care of the way it used to be. Service was also inconsistent. Some staff members were very kind and professional, while others were rude and seemed to change their attitude depending on the tip. I understand that tips are an important part of their work, and that is completely fair, but good service should not feel conditional. At times, especially at the bar, it felt like tipping was almost a requirement just to be attended to or even acknowledged. That said, I would like to recognize the staff members who made a positive difference during our stay: Rodriguez, who welcomed us at check-in, as well as Yuma, Fernando, Rosalía, Anabel, Sandy, and Janzel. They stood out for their kindness and service. Overall, the experience was still good, but I was honestly disappointed because my previous stay set a much higher standard."

"The resort itself was beautiful. The rooms were somewhat dated, and the bathroom shower had no hot water so I couldn’t wash my hair during the duration of my stay because I’d only get about a minute to two of lukewarm water to be able to rinse off before dinner each night. The staff was generally kind, though there was an expectation for tips (gentleman bringing my bags to my room, stood at the door and did not leave until I took out money - unfortunately for me, the smallest bill I had was a $20). The hotel worker running the towel hut asked if I had a husband and told me that I needed a Dominican baby in me and that he wanted to come back to Canada with me. I tried to politely laugh it off and walk away. Unfortunately, this was a daily conversation any time I had to change my towel (I travelled alone so couldn’t send someone else to do the towel exchange for me). The hotel does not provide shuttle service or transportation to/from the airport. The taxi I took claimed he would offer to drive me to the hotel from the airport for $50, pulled up to a gas station and told me I could tap my credit card, and when I did, I realize he charged me $75\. Again, I was alone and it was nighttime and didn’t want to cause a fuss and jeopardize my safety. The pool and beach are great, the resort is a perfect size in my opinion, ten buildings with only two floors in each. Not too large. Plenty of restaurant and food options. The watersides on site are a fun added bonus."
